Neil Bradley, executive vice president and chief policy officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, presented Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX-07) with the Advocate for American Business Award during a visit to Aling’s Chinese Bistro in Sugar Land, Texas. The Chamber cited Fletcher’s support for policies it says create opportunities for workers, families, and businesses.
Fletcher and Bradley were joined by restaurant owner Ifran Motiwala and Keri Schmidt, president and CEO of the Fort Bend Regional Partnership. The group also discussed challenges involved in starting a business.
The visit was part of the Chamber’s six-week Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, which is traveling through 20 states and includes more than 50 events. The tour is an element of the Chamber’s multi-year New Fight for Free Enterprise initiative, focused on making the case for free enterprise in communities across the country.
